- Acca
- A single bet that links several selections together, paying out only if every selection wins.
- Accumulator
- Another term for an acca, a bet that chains multiple selections for a higher potential payout.
- Asian Handicap
- A type of bet that gives one team a fictional head start or deficit to make the odds more even.
- Bankroll Management
- The strategy of deciding how much of your money to risk on each bet so you don’t run out quickly.
- Bet Builder
- A tool that allows you to combine different markets from the same match into one custom bet.
- Both Teams To Score
- A bet on whether each team will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet early, locking in a profit or cutting a loss before the match ends.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible results (win/draw, draw/win, etc.) to increase your chance of winning.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet that refunds your stake if the match ends in a draw, leaving only a win for one of the teams.
- Edge
- The perceived advantage you have over the betting site’s odds, often shown as a percentage.
- First Goal Scorer
- A bet on which player will score the first goal of the match.
- Fixed Odds
- Odds that are set when you place the bet and stay the same no matter what happens later.
- Half-Time/Full-Time
- A bet that predicts the result at half‑time and also the final result of the match.
- Handicap
- A fictional advantage or disadvantage given to a team to balance the betting odds.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing a bet after the match has started, with odds that shift as the game progresses.
- Juice
- The extra charge the betting site adds to the odds, meaning you effectively pay a small fee on each bet.
- Kelly Criterion
- A formula that suggests the best fraction of your bankroll to wager based on how big your edge is.
- Matched Betting
- A technique that uses free bets and promotions to guarantee a profit by covering all possible outcomes.
- Moneyline
- A simple bet on which team will win the match, with odds reflecting each team’s chances.
- Odds Movement
- The change in odds over time, often caused by betting activity or new information about the teams.
- Over/Under
- A wager on whether the total number of goals scored will be more or less than a number set by the betting site.
- Parlay
- A bet that combines multiple selections, winning only if all of them are correct.
- ROI
- Return on Investment; the net profit or loss from betting expressed as a percentage of the total amount wagered.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a bet.
- Unit
- A standard amount of money used to measure the size of each bet, usually a small part of your total bankroll.
